How we work, and where
Electrical work in apartments, co-ops, houses and small businesses, from two offices. This page explains how a job runs from the first call to the labeled panel, where our crews go, and who writes the guides on this site.
- Calls answered 24/7

- Warwick head office

Joseph Warren Electrical handles electrical repairs, panel and service work, rewiring, lighting, EV chargers, generators and commercial electrical from a service office in Chelsea, New York, and a head office in Warwick. Calls are answered 24 hours a day, work that needs a permit is filed, and every job ends with tested circuits and a labeled panel.

Test before we touch
Faults are traced under load with meters and a thermal camera. We explain the cause before recommending a fix, and we do not replace parts on a guess.
File what needs filing
New circuits, panels and service work are permitted and inspected. Like-for-like repairs that need no filing are said to be exactly that.
Work inside the building's rules
In co-ops, condos and managed buildings we follow the alteration agreement, the working hours and the shutdown schedule.
Leave a record
Every job ends with a labeled panel directory, and larger jobs with photos and paperwork you can hand to a board, buyer or insurer.
From the first call to the labeled panel
A person answers
Any hour. We ask what you see, hear and smell, and tell you what to switch off first.
Diagnosis
At the panel and the device, with a written scope before work starts.
Filing and approvals
Permits where required; building approval in co-ops and condos.
The work
Floors covered, dust controlled, power outages scheduled around your day.
Inspection and handover
Inspection where required, a labeled directory, and a plain explanation of what was done.
Where our crews work
The work is the same trade in two very different settings. In the city it is mostly apartment and building work, shaped by building rules as much as by the electrical code. Upstate it is mostly houses, where generators, service upgrades and outdoor circuits come up far more often. The service area page covers both in more detail, and the contact page has both addresses with maps. How we handle what you tell us on a call is in our privacy policy, and when a call may be forwarded is set out in our terms of service.
Each borough and town we cover has its own page: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island, Orange County, Newburgh, Middletown, Port Jervis, Goshen, Monroe, Chester, Warwick, Upper East Side, Flushing and Whitestone, Tottenville and Great Kills, Queens Village, Canarsie and Flatlands, Upper West Side, Bayside, Sheepshead Bay, Bay Ridge, Forest Hills, New Dorp and Mid-Island and Throgs Neck.

Delbert Moody, Electrical Guides Editor
The guides on this site are written and kept up to date by Delbert Moody, our electrical guides editor. They start from the questions that come in on the phone every week: what a panel upgrade costs, why a breaker keeps tripping, what the city code now requires. Cost figures come from published 2026 sources and are labeled as planning ranges, never as our prices, and every guide lists its sources.
